Fortune Cookies

Sash at the The Volokh Conspiracy is bemoaning the lack of actual fortune cookies, these days. I recall when I was working for MCI in Colorado Springs, CO, we would often work late and order in Chinese food. The particular cookies this rstaurant used were literal fortune cookies: All of them were very specific predictions about money, stuff that was ludicrously specific, like, "In twenty years a long-lost Uncle will die, leaving you a diamond mine in South Africa." The only other one I particularly remember was, "Your next car will not be a Mercedes, but one better." For the record, it wasn't, although it was better than the car I had at the time.
